Sound blocking, soundproofing, sound transmission control & noise barrier terms are synonymous. They all refer to the act of stopping noise. Essentially it's a noise barrier which combines mass, flexibility and limpness to block noise from transmitting from one area to another. Flexible mass-loaded vinyl sheeting has replaced thin lead sheets as the noise barrier of choice. Noise Barriers are rated by a "STC" number - Sound Transmission Classification. The HIGHER the STC rating**, the more EFFICIENT the product is at blocking noise. |

Vinyl Barrier Acoustic Material

This high density thin, weighted barrier, constructed of non reinforced high temperature fused vinyl with no lead filters. Weighs one pound per square foot and is 1/8" thick. Apply to block transmission of sound through walls, floors, and ceilings. Also effective as a pipe and duct wrap to damper vibrations and reduce noise. Also available in a reinforced version designed to sustain it's own vertical weight for suspension. |

Noise Reduction Blankets

These blankets are cut to 4' width X custom length, or available in any custom size required (custom slits, holes patches, windows, strip curtains and more can more can be sewn in to your order). These blankets are grommet across their tops and Velcro down both sides for interconnection. Boasting average 20 to 40+ decibel level drops, these self hanging blankets are suspended either from a ceiling or floor mounted frame. |
